Who We Are
Tyson's Corner is an all breed - all animal rescue for abandoned, abused, and just plain out of luck animals. We take in everyone from dogs and cats, birds and reptiles, and once, even a pair of rats (who by the way make wonderful pets). Tyson, our founding friend, was a cruelty case from the local humane society. He taught us just what it meant to go through a bad puddle in life. Tyson was one of the last two surviving pups of a litter of ten that went through unspeakable tortures in their first 8 weeks of life. After months of rehabilitation, Tyson has learned to trust people once more and has turned into quite the gentleman himself.
Adopting a friend
Adoptions are not limited to our area, so if you live out of state and would like to adopt please don't hesitate to call. Our policy is to go to any length to place each one of our animals in his or her ideal situations. Adoption fees are based upon, but may not be limited to, medical costs and vary with each animal. We require an adoption application, a home visit, and a contract. There are NO exceptions to this process. All adult animals are spayed and neutered prior to adoption. Young babies may be adopted into special circumstances with a spay/neuter contract. This contract is VERY strictly enforced, and legal action will be taken if adoptee is not spayed / neutered upon contract deadline. Please email us for any other information. Please also keep in mind that all of our animals must be kept indoors. No animal is allowed to roam free. Cats and birds are never to be let out. Our computer is on the fritz again, if anyone has an old one they would like to donate, please let us know. We rely heavily on the use of the Internet to both find animals that need our help, and to adopt ours out. If you, or anyone you know, can help out in any way please contact us ASAP.
Be it coming to foster homes to socialize animals, walking dogs, or donating supplies, we always need help. We are always in need of donations both financial and in supplies.
